Chew Valley Plumbing – Terms and Conditions of Service
1. General
These Terms and Conditions apply to all plumbing and heating services provided by Chew Valley Plumbing ("we", "us", or "our") to the client ("you" or "the customer"). By accepting a quote, engaging our services, or receiving an invoice from us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Payment Terms

Full payment is due immediately upon receipt of the invoice.

Payment methods accepted will be detailed on the invoice (typically bank transfer, card payment, or other agreed methods).

You are responsible for ensuring timely payment. Late or failed payments may result in additional actions (see below).
3. Late Payment and Debt Recovery

If payment is not received within seven (7) calendar days of the invoice issue date:

You will receive automated daily reminders via email and/or SMS for the 7-day period.

After 7 days without payment, the unpaid invoice will be referred to a third-party debt collection agency.

Additional charges and collection fees incurred during the debt recovery process may be added to the outstanding balance and will be your responsibility.

4. Emergency Call-Outs

Emergency call-out fees apply to any out-of-hours, weekend, or bank holiday requests.

Charges are as follows:

£120 for the first hour (minimum charge)

£90 per hour thereafter, billed in 30-minute increments.

These rates are exclusive of parts and materials, which will be charged separately.

"Out-of-hours" is defined as any time outside 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Any cancellations or rescheduling must be made with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.
6. Liability

We will perform all work to a professional standard and in accordance with industry best practices.

We accept no liability for any loss or damage resulting from failure to follow our advice or instructions.
7. Warranty and Workmanship

All work is covered by a 1 year workmanship guarantee, unless otherwise specified.

Parts are only covered under warranty if they have been supplied directly by Chew Valley Plumbing.

We do not offer any guarantee or assume responsibility for parts or materials supplied by the customer or third parties.

Manufacturer warranties apply where applicable for parts supplied by us.
8. Access and Safety

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work site.

You are responsible for ensuring that pets, children, or any potential hazards are kept clear of the work area during our visit.
9. Disputes

Any disputes regarding the invoice or the work carried out must be raised in writing within 5 days of the invoice date.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any updates will be communicated in writing or via our website.
